Koriand'r is a Tamaranean princess and member of the Justice League. She is also a founding member of the Teen Titans, known as Starfire.

    Origins

Hailing from the planet Tamaran in the Vegan System, Koriand'r was one of three children, destined to inherit the throne of her world. Kommand'r, her eldest sister who was supposed to inherit the throne, became vengeful and jealous of her little sister as she lacked something a Tamaranean was supposed to have naturally, the ability to fly. This led to a very bitter rivalry that grew over their life and took it's toll when the sisters were sent to train on Okaara.

Koriand'r was almost killed in an exercise by her sister and Kommand'r was expelled. Koriand'r would later find herself a slave when Kommand'r invaded Tamaran with their rivals the Citadel. Koriand'r killed one of her captors after years of abuse and Kommand'r ordered her execution, however this was ceased as a group of sadistic alien scientists known as the Psions captured the two sisters.

They performed experiments on them to see how long they took to explode by absorbing solar energy. Koriand'r however used her newly acquired power to shoot star bolts to break herself free as members of the Citadel came to free Kommand'r. Having freed her sister however, Kommand'r still ordered her execution, however managed to escape, stealing a rocket and fleeing for Earth. There, she met Robin and saved from pursuers who followed her by the Teen Titans. She too became apart of the Teen Titans, creating a new life on Earth, adjusting to it's customs.
